In other words, the vineyard is returning to a more environmentally sensitive way of cultivation. Synthetic insecticides, fungicides, and fertilizers are being replaced by natural methods. 


In using manure and encouraging the growth of wild plants, natural methods can make for a healthy vineyard. Similarly, natural methods strive to attract insects like the ladybug which feed on the micro-organisms that could damage the vine, thus ensuring the vineyard’s longevity. 


There may not as yet be organic wines, only organically grown grapes, but one thing is certain: European wines respect the environment!
