Romantic Chicory Gondolas with Gorgonzola and Walnuts

The delicately peppery taste of Italian Gorgonzola finds its true match with the slightly bitter chicory and crunchy walnuts.

Ingredients:

80gr Italian Gorgonzola
40gr soft white cheese (Philadelphia, Fromage Frais or Mascarpone)
50gr whole walnuts
1 head of chicory

Procedure:

1. Using a fork mash the soft white cheese together with the Gorgonzola and combine into a homogenous mixture.

2. Form small balls using your hands. You can wet them a little so that the mixture doesn’t stick.

3. Carefully separate the chicory leaves and place them on a platter. Put a cheese ball onto each leaf and decorate with a walnut.

4. You can make this dish up to step 2 the previous day and assemble before dinner.
