300 gr strawberries, ripe (for the marinade)
300 gr Mavrodafni Patron (sweet red wine)
100 gr sugar, white
2 bay leaves
50 gr almond syrup
800 gr strawberries
Add all the ingredients ( except for the last 800 gr strawberries) in a pot,and let them boil, for 20 minutes.
Blend the marinade in a food processor and strain it well.
Let cool for a while and then add the fresh strawberries.
After 30 minutes it is ready for serving.
Any sweet liqueur will do, if you can not find Mavrodafni wine
