Olive Oil Biscuits

1 cup olive oil
1 kg all purpose flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup fresh orange juice
1 cup dry red wine
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbs honey
1 tsp powder cinnamon
1/2 cup walnuts


Preheat oven at 110° C.

Coarsely crush walnuts.

In a medium saucepan, warm, on low temperature, add wine, and dissolve sugar and honey.

Add orange juice, olive oil, cinnamon, and walnuts.

Mix well and remove from heat. Do not boil.

Mix together flour and baking powder and add gradually to the saucepan. Combine well.

Shape with hands into small rounds and place on oiled cooking tray.

Bake for 40 minutes.

Remove from oven and sprinkle with sugar. Cool.

Keep in cool place in airtight jars.

You may add an orange flavor liqueur
