These sweet and luxurious marinated strawberries can be served on a baked phyllo pastry accompanied by ice cream.
- 300 gr strawberries, ripe (for the marinade)
- 300 gr Mavrodafni Patron (sweet red wine)
- 100 gr sugar, white
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 cloves
- 50 gr almond syrup
- 800 gr strawberries
Add all the ingredients ( except for the last 800 gr strawberries) in a pot,and let them boil, for 20 minutes.
Blend the marinade in a food processor and strain it well.
Let cool for a while and then add the fresh strawberries.
After 30 minutes it is ready for serving.
