tasting notes

For those who know, the third Thursday of each November, traditionally brings us nouveau wines that are the first specimen of each years new wines. It’s not just that Boutari Nouveau is the first greek nouveau in the market, but also this year it came out with a new etiquette, but with the same characteristics. Lively and fresh aromas.

For those that don’t know, Boutari Nouveau is consumed within 6-8n months from its launch, because its special vinification method gives it unique characteristics that are shown better, when the wine is still young. Therefore make sure that you’ll have consumed it until next August. With company of course….

Boutari Nouveau is made after a careful choice of grapes from the region of Imathia. Syrah, which is the unique variety used, in it’s most fresh form, offers a bright red colour with blue tones. Aromatically, the basis is fresh strawberry and roses, along with notes of cinnamon and peppers.  In the mouth, the pure freshness surprises. It is served at 12-14̊C, by itself or as an aperitif or with light meals, like pasta with light sauces, sweet cheese, ripe fruits and salami.

It is a unique chance for winelovers to taste the most characteristic Greek nouveau.
